Fans eager to show Matt the door

Wow, the fans in Detroit are really ticked at Matt Millen. Before the Lions were devoured 41-17 by the Bengals Sunday, fans held a rally outside Ford Field to show their displeasure with Millen, who has made some questionable moves during his tenure as president of the team. Fans were so upset, they encouraged other fans to wear Bengals colors to the game. The Monday online edition of the Detroit Free Press has coverage of the fan protest along with great photos (look how many orange jerseys are in the Ford Field stands) and a great column from Mitch Albom, you know, the Tuesday's with Morrie guy.

Ramblings
How is it Tiki Barber plays for a New York football team, yet remains so underrated? The same question can be asked about the J-E-T-S' Curtis Martin. Both running backs are great and are the heart of their respective teams. Barber is having another stellar season, and Martin led the league in rushing last year. Despite their enormous productivity, both seem to get minimal national press while playing in the nation's largest media market. ...Werder Bremen (In photo above) looks like the Miami Dolphins of German soccer, uh, football. Speaking of Bremen, pretty goal Sunday from Johan Micoud to give his side a 1-0 lead over Hamburg. The Bundesliga match, however, ended in a 1-1 tie. Oh, and Chelsea defeated Arsenal 2-nill in English Premier League action, and Celtic tied -1-1 with Inverness this weekend and has a four-point lead over Hearts in the Scottish Premier League.
